I am so excited to share this sneak peek of our newest wedding invitation suite!
This design has been dancing around in my mind for some time now… I have totally fallen in love with the gorgeous, naturally elegant, rustic beauty that has taken the wedding world by storm, but I couldn’t help thinking that all my fellow Chinese brides out there were being asked to make a difficult decision—choose to go with tradition or choose to have a rustically elegant wedding. Let me explain…
Your traditional Chinese wedding revolves around lots of bright red and bright gold and requires the use of a Double Happiness symbol, a dragon, a phoenix, and/or some peonies, bamboo, or lanterns. Of course, I’m being a little cheeky about this, but I find that those of us who love our Chinese culture find it hard to get married without at least a few of these elements present, but you can see how these motifs would be rather hard to blend with a more rustic, natural, modern aesthetic.
I’m hoping my new Pomegranate Suite does a little something to bridge that gap by bringing in some traditional Chinese elements—pomegranates are very symbolic for Chinese weddings, representing a happy marriage with many children (seeds!)—into an otherwise very natural, organic design that also features a modern calligraphy monogram.
These will be available with either a deep red or pewter gray silk fabric. I can’t wait to finalize our options and make them available in our Etsy store!
Though I realize it’s almost February, it still feels like a new year for me because I’m so excited for all the new projects up our sleeves for 2015!!
Here’s the first one we’re ready to share! We plan to expand the line of fabric stationery available in our Etsy store, and we’re starting with these gorgeous gold foiled “XOXO” cards.
Not only are these gold foiled on luxurious 110 lb. cotton paper, each card is backed by hand with beautiful metallic gold polka dot fabric!
These cards come in sets of 6, with 3 white fabric cards and 3 black fabric cards in each box. We’ve paired these cards with matching antique gold envelopes (just be sure to use a black Sharpie on these…other pens tend to fade away on this envelope).
And for that final “something special,” we have also included matching fabric tape seals to close up your envelopes! You get 3 white and 3 black, tucked neatly in a mini vellum envelope within each box.
We hope you love these as much as we do and that you’ll have fun sending them out to all your favorite people!
The boxed sets are available for purchase here.
Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, it’s time to get excited for Christmas, and what better way than to be part of a super fun giveaway!!
My dear friend, Phyllis, over at LuxeFinds, an amazing lifestyle shopping engine, has pulled together some great vendors (such as Anthropologie, Nordstrom, and Plated) for her Ultimate 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway, and we’re joining in the fun by giving away a $150 gift certificate to our Etsy shop!
If you (or someone you know) has a wedding coming up in 2015, this would be a such a great holiday surprise! And even if you don’t have a wedding on the horizon, we have beautiful fabric stationery and DIY kits in the shop (with more to come in 2015)!

We just can’t get enough of the simple, rustic elegance of our Burlap & Silk invitations, and we’ve added a few new items in our Etsy store that will carry this look throughout your wedding day!
These simple escort cards can be displayed in so many different ways…from being tied to twigs of rosemary…
to being placed in a lovely ribbon board of different laces, yarns, and textures!
One of my favorite elements of our Burlap & Silk invitation is the pearlescent wax seal, so we decided to design a wedding program where guests open the wax seal to see the program contents inside.
Table numbers are available either by themselves for framing or backed with burlap.
The burlap backing is such a beautiful touch on menus, as well!
For those who love all things paper, the invitation is but one of the many ways to incorporate beautiful paper details into a wedding, and over the past few months, we have been quietly building up our Etsy store with some lovely pieces for your wedding day.
Here are some images of what we’ve designed to go with our Vintage Floral Invitation Suite! From simple escort cards…
to ones backed with hand-torn fabric (in your choice of color or a combination of all 3!)…
to paddle fan programs with the sweetest of bow accents…
and simple kraft and white table numbers
and menus. These “day of” stationery pieces will carry the romantic, casual sweetness of our Vintage Floral Invitations throughout your entire wedding day!
